Why local-only

Most free web tools work by uploading your file or text to a server, processing it there, and sending the result back. That model created two problems this site exists to fix: your data sits on someone else's machine (a compliance and privacy liability), and server costs push operators toward aggressive, often deceptive advertising.

Every tool on ZeroUpload does the entire job inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. There is no processing server. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the network panel, and use any tool. After the page loads, nothing is transmitted.

No accounts, no upload limits, no tracking cookies, no consent banner — because there is nothing to consent to.

What we do measure, exactly

Two things, both disclosed here. First, anonymous pageview counts via Cloudflare Web Analytics — a cookie-free counter that records that a page was visited, never who you are or what you typed into a tool. Second, tool pages may show one static sponsor ad from Carbon, a network built for developer sites that serves a single image with no tracking scripts, no cookies, and no ad auction. Neither ever receives the content you put into a tool, because that content never leaves your browser in the first place. You can confirm all of this in your browser's network panel at any time — that standing invitation is the whole point.

If you'd rather support the site directly, the support link in the header goes to our donation page. Donations are what keep the premium ad networks and their tracker stacks permanently off this site.
